Without Remorse – I mean… I’ve always wanted to read at least one Tom Clancy book in my life and just realized this month that I never added any of his books on my TBR yet. Well. Now it’s done. Just got to pick up a copy… Someday…

Moon Knight Vol. 1 – I read a review saying that this dude was better than Batman. I doubt that. But I’m definitely curious about this dude now.

The Master and Margarita – They say this satire was written during Stalin’s regime. It is now known as a classic for what it tells. Definitely want to try it out.

Anansi Boys – I finally read my first real Neil Gaiman novel and it was American Gods. While it didn’t end up being the best book I’ve ever read, I’m still interesting in reading its sequel and everything else related to it. 😀

The Lost World – We all know Sir Conan Arthur Doyle and his greatest achievements, but few have checked out his other projects. Like this one. I definitely got to see what about characters he tried to bring to life.

P.S. You can click on the title names to open a tab on Goodreads for their blurbs and what not!

My review for IT Movie here 😀 if you want to discuss about IT 😉 I’ve also watched Kingsman 2 (awesome movie, very childish like with that dark humor touch ahha) and American Made is a mad genius movie where, for the first time,  we see the corruption not only behind the drug cartel but also the US government 😀

Lashaan

Fantastic movies/show! If you’ve seen any of them or want to know my thoughts on them, feel free to poke me in the comment section. 😉

Lashaan: So… I’ve only seen the very first trailer (the demolition one). I didn’t watch this trailer and I don’t plan to, but man, I’m hyped for this to release already!!!!!

Thank you all for checking out our monthly wrap-up and don’t forget to check out any posts that might interest you and that you might have missed out on!

So what’s going on with y’all? What have you discovered this month? What are your thoughts on the books/TV shows/movies we’ve mentioned?

Yours truly,

  1. Seems like you both had a great month. I am so beyond excited for King of Scars, the second I heard Leigh Bardugo was writing a new book and it was about Nikolai it went to the top of my to-read list. 🙂 Also Lashaan I’m really glad you enjoyed American Gods, even though it wasn’t as good as you’d hoped it would be. Anansi Boys is one still on my to-read list but I hope to get to it one day. 🙂
Great post, and I hope you both have an incredible October as well. 😀

    1. I’ve seen people read Anansi Boys without reading American Gods although it is classified a sequel to it too hahah I’m really curious to see where the story goes after American Gods! Hope you have a wonderful month too Beth. 😉

  2. Oh you guys had a great month! I’m not much fan of war movies but I really loved Hawksaw Ridge. I haven’t watched American Gangster yet but I really want to check it out. I’ll watch IT when it finally comes out in DVD. I need to watch Kingsman and American Made soon.

    1. It was a well shot movie, and its even more astonishing when you realize its a true story! Of course, Hacksaw Ridge dramatized everything for entertainment purposes, but it was still awesome! You definitely have to check out American Gangster if it’s something that intrigues you. It’s a must among gangster movies. It’s packed with amazing actors too!

  3. YAY LEIGH BARDUGO HAS A NEW BOOK!!! (as you might be able to tell I’m excited!)
And I’m glad you finally read a Gaiman, Lashaan- I actually read those two books the wrong way round, but I don’t actually regret it, cos Anansi Boys was amazing and is what got me into Gaiman in the first place- really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I also need to read Master and Margarita at some point!
