JUNE TBR + Relationship Update

monthly bookidote

It’s time for some Bookidote forecast! Is it just me or are the sequels of highly popular books coming out REAL soooon?! Gosh, can we just get our hands on those books already or what? 😀 In this edition of our Monthly Kick in the Butt, you’ll see what we’re currently reading, what we plan on reading, our monthly quote + our thoughts and a segment on what’s going on in life!

Reading Challenge
Now.. unless I start reading kid books, I doubt I’ll catch up.. 😀

I don’t need to tell you what book this is from, do I? Definitely one of the most memorable quotes of all time. Shockingly mind-blowing. Perfect ending to a perfect novel. If you haven’t read Animal Farm, then you’re doing something wrong.

I read Love and Misadventures by Lang Leav and I love every piece of poems that she put together. She has put words on feelings that I have never thought anyone could understand. She peels love layer by layer. This poem spoke to me, not like I feel related, but I think it’s an important part of love in general. Who you are before that person came and who you become after that person left.

Trang: So it happens. No more bae goals (BAGELSS). Hhaha

Trang: Okay, for real, we wanted to write a post about our situation to you, our followers, since you are all a big part of our lives and we shared a lot of memories together (virtual memories haha). Yes, we decided for personal reasons to break up. However, we will still be updating this blog since we have invested a lot time in Bookidote and developed a great interest for writing reviews, doing tags, sharing random posts, and simply pouring our thoughts on you guys.

Lashaan: The chemistry we had from the beginning in doing Bookidote has shown us that this blog was meant to happen. Our love for literature, whether they’re classics, young adult novels or comics, can only be shown with nothing other than more words. Reading was once a pastime of interest in my younger days. I slowly lost it by not having anyone to share it with. I have always been the type of person who would only do things if I could share them with someone who adores it just as much.

Trang: Lashaan has been an amazing lover and friend and I didn’t regret all this time we spent together. He has taught me friendship can last a lifetime (I’ve known him for more than 7 years). He has taught me true love when I didn’t know what it was. He has taught me patience and never gave up on me. So Lashaan, a big thank you for everything.

Trang: We came to an agreement that we are mature enough to stay friends, to continue co-blogging and sharing our readings with you all. Reading has been a big part of our lives and we couldn’t simply give up Bookidote.

Lashaan: So don’t expect to not see us around anymore! It ain’t going to be that easy. 😉

School is over. Time flew by faster than one could ever imagine! Coming back from California had to be done one step at a time. It was one of the most amazing trips ever, and being able to live the American life for a couple days is amazing. I’d do anything to be able to repeat such an experience! Now that I’ve gotten my hands on my bachelor degree, it’s time to keep things going and work on my Masters. The future has a lot of surprises in store for everyone. Who knows what’s next, right? 😉

This month has been a roller coaster of emotions for me hahaha. I’m still working full time in my two labs and I am enjoying the summer seeing all my friends again 😀 Lately, I got back to jogging and swimming ! Feels good to do some exercise 🙂 Having more time for myself now is definitely a big win. For reading.More Books.YESS.
